Autumn is my favourite season.  I love the leaves, I love the smells, I love the crisp air, and, above all, I love the food.  Groceries today were cheap and heavy on fall flavours: acorn squash, some kind of orange pumpkin/squash thing, potatoes, onions…YUM!

Sundays in the cooler months should be, in my opinion, dedicated to cooking and making your house smell irresistible.  Today I made a cauliflower soup with just a touch of cream (I couldn’t resist!), roasted vegetables, apple crumble and spaghetti squash.  Later this week I’m going to make my squash with a chilli-lime vinaigrette as shown to me via the wonderful blog, http://choppedgarlic.posterous.com/ — again, YUM!

My house smells like cinnamon and apple crumble, I’m curled up on the couch under a blanket with the cat snoring beside me, I’m debating tea or decaf coffee, my sheets are in the dryer…ah!  I love autumn!
