I went to Los Angeles expecting a dump, and came away having one of my favourite weekend trips. LA is a great city with a LOT of stuff happening in it. When you really sit down and think about all the stuff that happens there (fortunes made, dreams smashed, stars without makeup) …I mean, it’s insane.

To me, travel is about hangin’ out in a new place. I mean, I’m all for activities and museums and shit, but if I’m really being honest, a great travel day involves everything and nothing all at the same time.  Click here for my perfect Los Angeles day

The main reason for my trip to LA was to visit my friends Peter (an Aussie) and Ashley (his girlfriend). Peter’s main reason for staying in LA (aside from Ashley) was Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. It soon became the most American thing I’ve ever done, and I used to sleep with a Bostonian.

No trip to Los Angeles is complete without photos of the Hollywood Sign, however, we decided to take it a step further and get up close and personal with it.
